In line with the 2000 United Nations Millennium Declaration and its MDGs, AllTerra envisions using information and communication technologies (ICT) as a catalyst for sustainable economic development and poverty reduction. AllTerra has identified a significant opportunity in the BPL industry to act as facilitator of positive change. The infrastructural challenges that have stood in the way of a viable nationwide ICT foundation are immediately overcome by the BPL technology. By using the existing electricity grid to deliver broadband signals, we are able to reach a much larger population instantaneously, and with considerable cost savings over traditional solutions.
Through our diverse expertise and proven ability to forge strategic partnerships, AllTerra is able to tackle limitations that afflict other BPL companies. We do not deal with one proprietary technology but engage a whole host of vendors to bring to bear a holistic approach for ICT development encompassing various areas of broadband applications. Our strategy not only develops both a more participatory and a more equitable approach for the individual and pursues partnerships with government entities and civil society to affect change in sectors such as education, healthcare, commerce, electricity stability and governance. Our target markets are primarily electricity utilities, educational institutions, residential communities, and local, state and federal government agencies that seek to utilize a reliable and robust communications medium through our BPL offering and associated value-added services.
